A Day of Gratitude

I don't have a long, deep post for today. I just wanted to show thanks and gratitude to everyone who has supported this community so far. I was at the end of my rope and pulling out my non-existent hair trying to sell art or just get eyes on my art.

I think the universe was telling me something different. Writing was my first full on creative love and talent. I love art so much, but I felt I needed to get back to writing, but instead of fiction I wanted to write something more personal and real.

So I built this blog which I has had a few stops and starts. I talk about that in this post. But I think I finally found my stride here.

To everyone who reads this blog daily, who has subscribed or even threw your faith in me for a paid subscription, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. These daily small wins is the universe telling me that I'm on the right path and headed toward good things.

You guys are the life blood of my work. I know people say "create for yourself" and forget monetization or gaining subscribers and followers. But the truth is, validation is what every creator wants. If we create art and write great things, and no one sees it, does it even exist? I suppose it does in the hopes someone stumbles upon it.

Instead, you guys have all chosen to go out of your way to read what I have to say and have it delivered to your inbox, or at least make it a habit of clicking on the links I post. I cannot put a value on how much that all means.

Without each of you, I'm just shouting into the void. Basically an online journal, and this blog is kind of that, but more refined. When someone comments or shares my posts, it makes my day every time.

I have some ideas for how I'll proceed with this blog, but that is for the future. I want to grow it first and see where this ride takes me. You guys being on this crazy ride with me makes it all worth it. So I can't thank you enough.

I just wanted to take a few minutes to express my gratitude and let you all know I see you and appreciate you.
